The New Museum and Third Drawer Down are pleased to present a unique edition: the Mystery Multibox. We can tell you with certainty that it is of one of four fabulous artist multiples. But the object contained within each box is unknown. The element of mystery elicits intrigue and promises surprise and fun for whoever opens it!

The four Mystery Multibox artists were chosen by the New Museum’s curatorial team members Lauren Cornell, Benjamin Godsill, Jarrett Gregory, and Amy Mackie. Each of the artists worked with distinct mediums: Tristan Perich created an electronic music box; Rashid Johnson a tabletop installation; Douglas Gordon a baby bodysuit; and Fawn Krieger a paperweight. The thoughtfulness of each artist’s process shines uniquely through each of these extraordinary objects.

This Mystery Multibox is produced in a special edition of 2,000 (500 per artist), plus twenty artist proofs. A percentage of proceeds from every edition sold will benefit the New Museum, supporting its exhibitions and programs.
